I posted a few pics on my previous VIN check post, but wanted some opinions. So here is the car in question.
2000 Civic coupe EX. 151K. 2 owner, clean title, no accidents. Seller is asking 3K, with KBB around 2350 in Excellent condition.
I know these cars well, and have owned 2 1999 coupes. I believe 2500-2750 is more than fair. What do you all think?

I say- why not try something new instead of something you’ve already owned two of?

because i need something reliable and cheap. I am sure there are other options, but my budget is tight as I just lost my job. This fits the bill perfect right now. It’s at the end of its depreciation curve, and I can likely get almost what I paid for it when I can afford something else. Plus, I just like the body style and how they drive.

Well my thoughts are that this chocolate pudding I’m eating tastes good and the chair I’m sitting in is very comfortable.
Oh and at 3000, the price is slightly high and 2500 sounds about right to me... but even if the price is a few hundred above that, it’s still a Nice Price.

Grab an EX junkyard cluster. 6 screws, a few plugs to remove and 10 min of your time and you have a tach. Or, grab a CRV or SI cluster for a few more bucks if you’re feeling fancy!

I slapped on an aftermarket tach — seven years ago, when I still had the car.

I’ve also owned a 99 EX. Do it. I kinda miss mine.

My thoughts exactly. This gen Civic is hard to find in orig condition. It even has the stock CD player. 99% have been beaten down or riced out by now. Seller most likely knows this, so it will be interesting to see how he will negotiate on price.

Vanilla ice cream is good and all but sometimes mint chip is fine too.

At this price point, it’s hard to find something different that would fit what he wants better.
It’s also wonderfully helpful to already be familiar with what you’re buying instead of having to learn a new vehicle, especially when money is tight.

Indeed. $3k will get you a very few good things and a whole lot of crap. Source: has a $3k budget

I’d say $3,000 is pretty reasonable for anything that clean and still running. I owned one just like that but green and I loved it. Offering 2500 cash is fair, but I’d be willing to go up to 3000 if that’s what it takes.
